Sony Challenges iPad with Two New Tablets

Sony's S Tablet

Sony has unveiled two new tablet devices, the Sony Tablet S, and the Sony Tablet P built on Google’s Android 3 Honeycomb operating system for tablets. The Sony Tablet S has a 9.4 inch LCD touch screen and has a wedge shaped form which is thicker on one side and tapers on the other. This shape makes the tablet feel lighter, easier to hold and also makes a good viewing angle when the tablet is resting on the table. The tablet comes built-in with a universal remote control application and an infrared port that can control TV, blu-ray player, stereo, cable box and even other non-Sony brands. It can wirelessly connect with a DLNA compatible TV, PC, or speakers. There is a micro USB slot and an SD card expansion slot on the tablet.
